Do you have strong gaming experience and a strong interest in robotics and AI? We need talented gamers to assist in training and optimizing next-generation robotic systems with the latest foundation model technology. Your gaming reflexes and instincts will come in handy as you engage and manipulate robotic systems, gathering useful data and influencing smarter, more attentive behaviors. Your Day-to-Day

- - Ensure that robotic systems operate successfully in customer use cases via teleoperation with a focus on data gathering and data generation.
  - Run robotic systems continuously throughout the day, identifying bugs and technical issues and generating collected data for ongoing improvements.
  - Operate robotic systems using advanced controls (joysticks, VR, first-person view) to simulate real-world interactions and scenarios.
  - Follow proper equipment and robot maintenance procedures, including setup and operation.

About you

- - Advanced gaming experience—Exceptional skills in strategy, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and spatial awareness developed through gaming.
  - Familiarity with teleoperation systems—experience with joystick, VR, FPV, or similar control interfaces is a plus.
  - Interest in robotics and AI—Enthusiasm for learning about robotics, AI, and automation technologies and their real-world applications.
  - Critical thinking & adaptability—Ability to think quickly, troubleshoot problems, and adapt to new technologies and environments.
  - Attention to detail—precision and accuracy in interacting with robotic systems to ensure high-quality data collection

Alignerr strives to ensure pay parity across the organization and discuss compensation transparently. The expected hourly rate range for United States-based candidates is below. Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.

Pay Range (rate per hour)

$15—$150 USD

Important Information

This is a freelance position compensated on an hourly basis. Please note that this is not an internship opportunity. Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence, and we do not offer sponsorship for this 1099 contract role.
